Ok you’ve turned up in your Sunday best, you’re smelling as sweet as roses, and you’ve been complimenting her all night – possibly all month! Now you need to know whether she’s interested.

There isn’t a magic bullet or a flashing neon sign to give you the go-ahead.

Your best friends are probably as useful as a wet fish when it comes to giving you the yes or no, and your mum probably thinks that she isn’t good enough for you anyway.

So what is a man to do!? Read and learn.

Women are complicated beings, so you should give up trying to understand them completely. She has a variety of ways to express interest, some subtle others not so. The key is to look out for the ‘cluster of signs’ i. e. a group of signs that indicate a pattern of interest in you.

Here are my top 5 signs of female attraction:

1. Is she looking at you?
I mean really looking at you. When a woman is attracted to a man she will take the time to scan your face. She’ll be checking out your lips, teeth, eyes, forehead, chest and hands (assuming you’re sitting down together) and your posture, chest size, waste and hands when you’re standing. Evolution has programmed women to look out for optimum masculine characteristics such as a strong body with a wide and firm torso, narrowed waste, and strong legs, strong hands and a manly jaw.

2. Is she touching herself?
According to the kama sutra lovers touch themselves in ways that indicate an unconscious or conscious desire to be touched. If she is stroking her arms, legs or hands she may want a little playful interaction. But make sure you are gentle and subtle. Always be a gentleman.

3. Freshen her hair and make up
If she regularly tops up her make up, it would seem that she want to look her best for you. (Unless of course she has a habit of doing this anyway!) A bit of analysis may be required.

4. The Eyes Have it
Does she look into your eyes for more than 3 seconds, or lower them while you are talking. This avoidance of eye contact is often away to deal with shyness or a fluttering heart.

5. Does she highlight her femininity Women consciously flash their feminine traits when near men. Does she expose her fragile wrists, tilt her neck to one side to expose her neck, cross her legs to highlight long lean definition, place her hands on her hips to draw attention to them. Keep you eyes peeled.

6. Preening When we like someone, we instinctively want to look good for them. Does she fiddle with her clothes, straighten her attire?

7. Space invaders
Is she invading your personal space? Yes? But I’m sure you don’t mind do you?! If you is placing her body, or parts of her body such as her hands or legs closer to yours, this usually indicated that she is trusting you more and that she wants a bit more close contact. If you find her hand drawing near yours take up the cue, and lighting touch it in mid conversation. If she responds well, play with her fingers and stroke her hand. Always check for feedback as you proceed further, or you risk an ‘emotional’ slap.
